How to Counter Assassin Cross Skills
[Thief]
Envenom
Effect: An attack that adds 15*SkillLV to your ATK (unmodified by Armor and VIT Def) to your normal damage. This bonus damage is always inflicted, whether your character lands a normal hit or not. Envenom has a 10%+4%*SkillLV chance to inflict poison status on target. Poisoned targets have their DEF reduced by 25% and lose 3% of Maximum HP every 3 seconds unless that would cause HP to drop below 25% of Maximum HP. The entire screen turns purple for the poisoned individual. Undead and Bosses cannot be poisoned.
Counter Methods:
-Slow Poison
-Evil Druid Card
-Agriope Card
Sand Attack
Effect: An attack with 130% normal ATK and with a 20% chance to cause blind effect. Although it has no Cast Time or Cool Down it can’t be spamed.
Counter Methods:
-Pnemua
-Deviruchi Card
-Hode Card
Throw Stone
Effect: An attack that always does 50 points of damage (but does not ignore damage reduction cards) and has a 3% chance of causing the stun effect on the target. Consumes one stone per use. Useful for luring monsters link monsters away from a pack and other such sneaky thief-like tricks.
Counter Methods:
-Pnemua
-Orc Hero Card
-70 Vit to ignore stun
[Assassin]
Sonic Blow
Effect: A series of 8 fast hits for a total modified ATK of 400% + 40%*SkillLV with a 10% + 2%*SkillLV chance to stun the target. The damage is applied instantly, even though the animation takes some time. The skill can miss and can only be used with Katars.
Counter Methods:
-Get high flee
-Safety Wall
-Kyrie Eleison
Grimtooth
Effect: A ranged attack that hits a 3×3 area around the target for 100%+SkillLV*20% ATK. Skill only be used while Hiding (Cloaked isn’t good enough). Can only be used with Katar class weapons.
Counter Methods:
-Keep unreachable distance
-Pnemua
Enchant Poison
Effect: Gives equipped weapons the Poison property. Changing or removing either weapon cancels the effect for every weapon affected. Every hit while the Enchant Poison effect is running has a 2.5% + 0.5%*SkillLV chance of causing the Poison effect to the target.
Counter Methods:
-Slow Poison
-Agriope Card
-Evil Druid Card
-Myst Card
Poison React
Effect: Attempts to counter 1~6 attacks that damage you with Envenom while the skill is active. The success rate is 50%+5*SkillLV%. Adding levels in this skill gives a passive damage increase to the Venom Splasher skill of +30%*SkillLV.
Counter Methods:
-Avoid attacking with melee range attacks.
Venom Dust
Effect: Creates a poison cloud covering cells vertically and horizontally adjacent to target cell. Anything except a Boss entering the cloud or standing in the cloud receives the Poison effect (thus the effect is virtually permanent while the cloud persists and a target remains in the cloud).
Counter Methods:
-Avoid stepping on the poisoned ground
-Slow Poison
-Agriope Card
-Evil Druid Card
Venom Splasher
Effect: Turns target into a poison bomb. Target must and have less than 3/4 HP in order to be effected. When the skill is used, a timer appears above the target. If the skill is successful, and the timer reaches 0 the target explodes and takes a poison property hit at an ATK of 500%+50%*SkillLV, the Poison React skill passively adds 30%*SkillLV to this. The surrounding 5×5 area takes half of this as splash damage. Finally, weapon elements and weapon cards do not improve the damage.
Counter Methods:
-Keep Hp above 3/4
-Slow Poison
-Agriope Card
-Evil Druid Card
Throw Venom Knife
Effect: Throws a poisoned Dagger with a high chance of poisoning the target. This Skill requires you to have a Dagger equipped and uses up this item when executed.
-Slow Poison
-Agriope Card
-Evil Druid Card
[Assassin Cross]
Soul Breaker
Effect: Attack that causes severe damage, because the target is required to have high DEF to be able to withstand this. Damage calculation is a little complicated:
1) Soul Breaker Base Damage = Physical Total Damage + {(SkillLV * Player’s INT) * 5} + Random Damage (500 ~ 1000)
2) Final Damage = Soul Breaker Base Damage / Enemy DEF + Soul Breaker Base Damage
This formula may not be totally accurate.
The Element of the attack corresponds to your normal attack element.
Counter Methods:
-Pneuma
-High Flee (Helps to greatly reduce damage)
Meteor Assault
Effect: An attack that causes mass damage to all enemies within a 5×5 cells Area around the caster. Any enemies hit by this skill will receive Stun, Darkness, or Bleeding status ailment randomly with a 5%+5*SkillLV% chance. Attack Power is 40%+40*LV%.
Counter Methods:
-Deviruchi Card
-Orc Hero Card
-70 vit to stop stun
Enchant Deadly Poison
Effect: Uses up a Poison Bottle to enchant your weapon. Increases ATK by 150%+50*SkillLV%. Enemies that get hit by the enchanted weapon will randomly receive poison status ailment, and HP will be drained percentage wise very quickly. The chance of poisoning is equal to Assassin’s Enchant Poison poison chance. DOES work against Bosses.
Note that the element of the attack DOES NOT change to poison, so poison reducing effects (e.g. Armor slotted with Argiope Card) do not reduce the initial strike damage.
Counter Methods:
-Kyrie Eleison
*This skill is just like a stronger melee attack, so cards such as raydric, thara, deviling, or anything that reduce demi human or neutral damage works, unless its used with enchant poison, which is quite often, then Agriope, Myst, and Evil Druid Card will help.
Filed under: How to ..., PvP
a SinX EDP which hitting in neutral does not exist =D
he’ll probably hit in poison or dark, or he has some enhant !
It depends on your job how to counter \”Sonic Blow\” in pvp. Well, if your an assassin cross as well, the easist method would probably to get your flee high.
A method to counter assassin\’s sonic blow is to use equipment which makes your flee high,
Nine tails card (garment) +22 flee, however must be equiped in a garment +9 or more. If you don\’t have a garment +9 or more just use a whisper card.
Chonchon cards equipped in boots
And four Fur Seal cards equipped in a main gauche on both hands,
Your flee should be enough then.
Let your assassin enemy sonic blow you first. After he misses you change your weapon a infiltrator or a jur filled with mummy so your sonic blow hits him.
Well at least thats a method in my server.
In my server Enchant deadly poison and sonic blow work together so assassins sonic blow in my server damage around 1000-4000 x 8. Don\’t know bout other servers though.
-Kyrie Eleison
my sugestion to get more def if he don’t have thana
Grimtooth
Counter Methods:
perhaps ruhwach if the assa can’t hide he can’t use grimtooth
Pneuma is counter method for Grimtooth because its ranged skill
There are about a dozen ways for a smart SinX to counter flee. It doesn’t save you from Sonic Blow if the SinX knows what they’re doing.
A good EDP sinx with sonic blow build can normally take out most people in a few seconds.
Or you could just cloak and soul break, only if Pneuma isn’t already casted. This is also a pretty much a KO build if you use it right. In opinion Sinxs are pretty overpowered, even tho i play one myself lol
WoF+SWall :x
HD them out of hiding/cloaking while keeping sight on :x
just use an OL armor and those EDP sinx’es will surely have a taste of their own medicine /gg
how the hell does high flee “greatly reduce damage” of soul breaker? it may reduce the damage per second but a mage would still die to it in one hit probably…
why does having high flee help anymore than the other sin skills?! especially when soul breaker sins usually have 75 dex
Soul breaker is 2 parts, physical and magical. with cranial it self reduces only the physical part. having high flee makes the physical part actually miss, halving the damage. As for the magical part…. I guess when they say high DEF means godly reducs +9 or +10 armor equips.
a enchat poison can be reduce with oxygen mask??
that’s a true??
please, can someone answer my question?
Nope, Oxygen Mask reduces the Chance to get Poisoned “Poison Status”
I think the Sonic Blow of a SinX is unstoppable, especially w/ euiped w/ the best Gear that Suits 4 a SB type sin…and i think you could use strategy in a way that you could survive a SB/ EDP…hehe ^^
Agriope card doesn’t stop Venom Dust as you can -still- be poisoned with it on. It only reduces poison based attacks.
Kinda like people thinking Bathory stops curse when it’ll only stop curse if it’s based on a dark-typed attack.
And about EDP, use pnue or sw depending on what the sinx is going to do. Regardless you’re going to stop something. Grim is usually the hardest to outpot/heal with the dps it can do.
Good way to waste an EDP: Sw + ruwatch/sight will force the sinx to move back letting you run to do it again and wasting his edp. Works for most sinx’s.
Paladin’s Reflect Shield, technically the sinX will suicide
use a hiding clip, if they cant see you, they can’t hurt you
The greater of all is Basilica, I tought
i use the maya purple card and the evil druid card…
it is very useful because i can see them coming and if they use EDP, the damage they do to my creator is 1.
but the problem is, if they realize it, they will reequip the weapon and attack once again…
so, its a big problem for me to reduce normal attack…
can someone help please…
GR CARD, myst card on garment
