This is just a short introductory guide to playing the Assassin Cross class in RO. Leave me comments if this guide’s been helpful to you, if i get good ratings and good feedback, i’ll make a full guide w/ video demonstrations of the tricks i use (Frost Lock, 9 Hit SB, etc. etc.). Enjoy..

Vit Type SinX:

Well, for vit types — like me — who prefer to go with 1 on 1 matches and hard VIT can pretty much tank any job with the right gear switches. Going over the stats, i think it should be ,

Str: 140-150

Agi: 1

Vit:  100-110

Int: 1

Dex: What’s left of your stat points go here. If you’re playing in a farming server and you can’t quite get platinum skills for the SinX class, you’ll have to put less vit and get higher dex.

Luk: 1

Equipment:

Going over the equipment, the image tells you the equipment. That’s from a previous semi-low rate server w/out Gods and Godly cards (Thanatos, etc. etc.).

The rest of the switches for me are, another Proxy Skin Fragment with a Giant Whisper Card and another with deviling, a Diabolus Armor with Tao Gunka, a Valkyrja’s Armor with Ghostring and an Orleans Server with Maya Card ( Just in case you accidentally get hit 3 times by a wiz’s Storm Gust and forgot to switch to Unfrozen/Deadly armor. Of course it’s still a gamble whether they use Jupitel Thunder or play it safe and use Thunder Storm.  ). As for the weapons, the only 2 katars i user are, an  Infiltrator with Incantation Samurai Card and a Katar of Piercing Wind with 2 Hydras and 1 Phreeoni, then of course after casting Sonic Blow, i switch back to a Cranial Valkyrja’s Shield and a Combat Knife, and i pack any dagger with 4 slots and arm them with 4 Stormy Knight Cards.

Strategy:

Strategy should be more than obvious at this point. When you’re playing a 1 on 1 game against another SinX, the idea is to kill him with 1 hit of a Sonic Blow, which is VERY POSSIBLE by the way, even if he’s wearing a Combat Knife and Cranial Shield when you strike him. The idea is to SCAN his weak elemental resistance. The 5 core elements used MAINLY are, Wind, Earth, Fire, Poison and of course the Neutral element. Scanning isn’t hard or anything, seeing as to you have every element at your disposal ( Saying of course that the server you’re playing on provides them on NPC’s ) you can use a converter and hit him with normal attacks, to scan for poison, just hit him with an envenom. If it doesn’t miss, that’s a 85% possibility that he’s gonna die with 1 blow. Once you get the element that does the most damage to him, hit him with your damage katar ( Infiltrator w/ Incantation Samurai Card ) armed with that element. If you’re going against a flee type SinX, it should be obvious innit? The first thing to do is to wear your frost dagger ( Any Dagger w/ 4 Stormy Knight Cards ) and hit him with an envenom. If he freezes, he’s an idiot, if not, hit him away with your Hit Katar.  Hit him with your Hit Katar ( Katar of Piercing Wind w/ 2 Hydras and 1 Phreeoni Card ) armed with the element you want. Now, if by any chance you can’t kill that agi type SinX, that’s because he’s got upgraded equipment +10 and such or has high vit. Then, you’ll need another katar for that KOPW with 1 Hydra, 1 Inca, and 1 Phreeoni, or you could always change your stats to counter his ( Adding more dex ). For PVP, you basically try to freeze anyone you want to kill with Throw Venom Knife. If you can’t freeze em, hit away with a Sonic Blow armed with an element ( Try poison first :) ). Always remember that the switch sequence for PvPing is Frost Dagger -> Cranial V.Shield -> Combat Knife.

Tips and Tricks :

If you still can’t 1 hit him, i’ll give you a clue. Hit + SB + Switch ( To Cranial Shield and CK that is ).

If you can’t kill an LK or a Paladin even when you use the Sonic Blow Frost trick, you can do a frost lock on them ( Hitting tem without breaking the frozen status ). Same as above, Hit + SB + Switch ( To frost dagger that is, then Cranial Shield and CK).

Try to experiment with other builds, use elemental resistance potions to your advantage =)

Well, this is my first guide. I don’t like doing stuff like this. I only want to play and kick everyone’s asses  :)

Sorry for not having a guide for Agi Type’s, i really don’t play agi types because i love high HP’s and i like to use the SinX Class’ s superb ability to tank. Maybe next time :)

First lets see the Pros and Cons:

Pros :

*Chase  and cause status  on all enemies

*Doesn’t require expensive items in order to be usable

*A very good team player

*Accurate breaker & useful in defending teams in BG

Cons:

*Requires a lot of restorative supplies

Build: You will need Battleground  food in order to complete this accurately and reading your job bonus stats.

Stalker gets these bonus stats the only ones you need to pay attention to for FSK build

Agi + 11 at job 70, Vit +4 at job 63, DEX + 12 at job 66

Str: get around 30 – 40 max depends how much restorative items you are holding

Agi- 39 – 49  (steamed alligator +7 AGI) agi up + bg food=  50 if 39 or 60 with 49

Vit-  93 use ( Sumptuous feast) in order to make it 100 which is immune to all status but Sleep and stone and Frozen statuses

Dex- 81 and add it with Blessing stalker job bonus and Soul haunted bread (+7 DEX) and it adds up to 110

now for items

Headgear:  Feather Beret or Beret very good for taking hits and helpful since your a tanker.

Weapon: [4] Knife Marina card x4/ [4] Knife 2 magnolia & 2 metaller cards/ Combat knife

Body armor :  padded armor +7 with evil druid or expensive variant Glorious Suit

Shield : Valkyrie Shield + Thara frog card / carry a second to be immune to SC with Medusa card if you don’t have Evil druid.

Garment: Wool Scarf [1] + Raydric or Noxious card / G muffler/ Proxy skin fragment with Raydric card

Shoes: Tidal Shoes [1] + Matyr card/ Glorious shoes

Accessory: armor Charm for the padded armor set and tidal shoes set/ Horong card + Belt[1]/ Glorious Ring x2

Your job or (build) is to take as many hits possible and be immune to statuses to break barricades  stone guardians and the Emperium in battlegrounds.  Also to support teammates by status inflicting enemy’s invading to break your castle! this will be all sided into BG first.

Sinx – If they are the Killing type use Sprinkle sand to blind them, then use the curse, mute dagger and FSK into oblivion until there muted their Spirit buff will be dispelled.  Once that’s done close confine and strip the, but if there DEF types use sleep arrow and try to stop them! if they wear nightmare card try to bother them and close confine them till a teammate comes to help to kill them.

Stalker – In this  battle you have to make sure your NOT stripped or avoid them as possible, if they are the same type as you good chance they aren’t immune to Sleep status unless they’re wearing Nightmare card.  Try to strip them and close confine and use Stalking  so they cannot escape.

Creator – If they are non vit users with stun immunity cards use Stun arrow and the mute/curse dagger to paralyze them so they’re utterly useless to do anything unless they use green pot.  If there SPP type (high vit) use they have little INT to kill you with which means they are weak to sleep or use mute and Curse dagger as spam! don’t try this if you do not have FCP enabled or have items broken, be careful of the Damage dealing type if they do more then 60% try to hide dodge or fsk + sit trick to do spam on them till they get stunned or muted.

Paladin – No fcp strip shield  and armor or just Full strip and freeze them into place matyrs reckoning ones wont be able to kill you unless you don’t have potions.

Lord Knight – Same as above.

Sniper – Careful not to fall into a sleeper trap or ankle snared you do not have enough job points to get Remove trap so FSK them into place until they stun (if there killing type AKA DS) or put them  at rick of being killed.

Professor – If your soul linked and Plaster shield on or ED FSK put them to sleep and strip them.

If DEX isn’t high enough leave them asleep and ignore until team deals with them, they cannot dispell you at all.

Champion – The most difficult to deal with you need to be very reactive to dodge Asura. As soon as you see him about to asura (hide) and sometimes you will succeed but if he has ruwach and sight up stalking and move away until he can’t find you and try to FSK spam and put him into mute and curse and close confine then full strip him!

Wizard – They are minor threats just try not to be Stone cursed or Frozen, spam FSK with mute and Stun them until they cant use anymore skills when teammates come to kill them.

Now for PvP Arena

Stalker + Sinx – This team is very unusual but it works if played right! Stalker the one heavily relied on to deal with difficult enemies , Professors, enemy sinx, wizards and champions.  Try to status and put them all at risk of being hit by your partner blind the sinx and keep him dispelled of Soul link and status him to death till your buddy kills him.  Professor is a difficult one to defeat make sure to put him to sleep if hes (def) type and FSK as much as you can, try to avoid dispel and much as possible.  Champions will be the test of surprise and kill and status with hit locking.  The stalker must be the one annoying him and statuses him into oblivion just keep spamming FSK and try NOT to be hit by Asura yourself unless you think you can take it with no assumptio.

Stalker + Champion – My personal one i use all the time these two can wreak havoc if they’re properly geared and have good reaction and years of experience.  Stalker deals with professor the accursed enemy of the Champ class, if your soul linked the professor  just wants to Stone curse you or Web, just use hide and back slide to avoid them both and use ED card for stone curse and jsut put him into sleep or FSK to avoid so he cannot cast.  Enemy sinx will fail to kill champs if they are  mid demi resist geared and while FSK dispelles SL its a good bet that they will be powerless if they’re *defensive type* if not they are the other variant being full offense little to no VIT and high dex which means the stalker can mute and stun him until the champs destroys him. Pretty much Champ + stalker can hande anything if not ganged by more then 5 people.

This is the second part of my lord knight build guide.  for those who love bowling bash skill read my discussion first before some lunatic judge my guide.  I am not considering my self the best lord knight in Ragnarok Online but i want to prove to anyone that lord knight has the ability to maximize its damage output and kill anyone with ease by using bowling bash skill.

Thanks to those who inspire me to do this guide and hope my guide  help  to anyone who wants to become a lord knight.  all data here is based on my SAVD lord knight in valkyrie server.  take note that ghostring, orc lord, orc hero and taugunka boss card does not exist in our server..

stat explanation – we all know there’s  numerous  build for an LK.

SVD[ str vit dex ]  which give durability and versatility  and sky high HP.

SAL[ str agi luk ] which give crit luk to enemy. and other builds such as pure spiral, 1 hand sword and spear LK..

Combining the best of both worlds of SVD and SA except LUK, the SAVD-type offers better versatility at least on my mind =).

LORD KNIGHTS–> The Lord Knight’s skills are a good balance of offense and defense

–>    can achieve 190atpsd easily. [ agi=1.. berserk pots+ two hand quicken + berserk skill]

–>( variety, numerous build) pure bowling, pure spiral and bowling spiral

–> highest HP modifier in game

PVP TACTICS AND TIPS

where you can learn how to perform it. it has the ability to cast bowling bash twice in a second that mades bowling bash powerful skill unlike  spiral pierce which depends on weapons weight..

Vs palladin

Obviously they hurt themselves. all you have to do is tank their sacri/rs damage and give them the best fight.you can use berserk skill IF you notice that your damage has an average output of 1k-1.5k per hit.we all know that paladin are the best tanker among all job in ragnarok  but for a lord knight which has a powerful skills and good equipment  anyone on his path will surely die =)

Vs Sniper

Kill him/her before he set  combo traps .. use charge attack +bowling bash combo

Vs Champion

All you have to do is observe their casting time.. if he/she cast too slow he has a powerful damage and both of you will surely die.. try to bash them first using  executioner with two hand quicken and wait for the STUN effect.  if its fail try to tank their asura and make sure after receiving damage  from  EF chase them with your DANCE bowling bash

BE wise when killing champ. dec agi slow your attack speed.  just use BERSERK skill wisely.

Vs Assasin Cross

This one is my favorite target. when you and sinx start to fight all you can see on your screen is bloodshed. kill him first before he kills you =)

Vs High Wizard

Use unfrozen/ deadly valk armor or switch to elemental armor such as wind armor so that the jupitel thunder damage will reduce. for me HW is a mob damage dealer. some HW are very experienced in pvp they set  combos like sniper. storm gust hurt as hell so try to tank its damage while attacking them.also try to stun +bowling bash them.

Vs Party

All i can say is enjoy it . tank their damage and attack them kill them nasty and quick.  LOL

Vs Other job…

Use both def set and attack set on every situation. acid bomb hurt as hell just make sure you kill him and prevent him to cast acid bomb. same to other jobs make sure you kill him first before he  kills you.

I. Support Type HP

- this type mainly focuses on healing party members and buffing them. They also serve as ‘tanks’.

I.1 Support Stats

-the basic build for a support priest is 80/80/80 (vit/int/dex). Vit gives higher HP and defense, making them a good tank. Int gives bonus SP and improves the ‘Heal’ skill. Dex reduces casting time and after-cast delay. This is necessary in a party because of priests being ‘rare’.

I.2 Support Gears

PvM/MvP:
upper head: Apple of Archer/PooPoo Hat/Feather Beret/Magni’s Cap
mid head: Sunglasses + Marduk Card or Grand Peco Card
armor: Silk Robe/Divine Clothes/Orlean’s Uniform/Odin’s Blessing + Peco Peco Card or Elemental Cards (to be discussed later)
right hand: Staff of Recovery/Long Mace
left hand: Valkyrie Shield/Stone Buckler + Hodremlin Card or Alice Card or Horn card
garment: wool scarf + Raydric Card or Noxious Card
footgear: tidal shoes + Verit Card or Green Ferus Card
accessory 1: Safety Ring/Rosary + Alligator Card

*during PvM, you can use Magni’s Cap, Stone Buckler and Odin’s Blessing Set for high def. This makes you a good tank. Also, if you have low dex, playing Full Support or when using ‘Redemptio’, i suggest you to wear Orlean’s Uniform.

When MvP-ing, swap element resistance carded-armors. They’re cheap, and is proven very effective. I suggest you put them on +9 silk robes (divine clothes if you’re rich) and have them with you all the time.

Elemental Cards:

pasana = fire (against amon ra, gloom, etc)

swordfish = water (ktullanux/drake’s water ball)

dokebi = wind (can also be used against water-element based attacks)

bathory = shadow (dark soul strike, evil land etc. mostly against high-end MvP’s)

*earth resistance is useless since earth does 100% damage against earth xD

PvP/WoE Equipments:
upper head: Feather Beret or Poopoo Hat
mid head: Sunglasses + Marduk Card
armor: Silk Robe/Divine Clothes + Marc Card or Evil Druid Card
right hand: Staff of Recovery/Long Mace/Combat Knife (+10 Main Gauche? used in old school RO)

II. ME Type HP

- these priests can Solo ‘demon’ and ‘undead’ MvPs. They can kill undead monster easily (turn undead) or players wearing Evil Druid card.

II.1 ME Stats

-ME type priests are not good tanks. They focus on Int to give higher damage, dex for fast cast, and luk. Not to mention they’re useless in WoE. (99/99/25:int/dex/luk)

II.2 ME Gears

upper head: Apple of Archer or Crown
mid head: Sunglasses + Marduk Card (this is a MUST)
armor: Orlean’s Uniform + Elemental Cards (swapping)
right hand: Staff of Recovery or Rod + Drops Card x 4
left hand: Orlean’s Plate/Valkyrie Shield + Thara Frog Card or Hodremlin Card or Horn Card
garment: Wool Scarf + Raydric Card or Noxious Card
footgear: Tidal Shoes + Verit Card or Matyr Card
accessory 1: Orlean’s Gloves + Zerom Card
accessory 2: Orlean’s Gloves/Rosary + Zerom Card or Smokie Card or Alligator Card

IV. The Guide:

IV. 1 WoE

During woe, you don’t need to bring many blue gemstones (unless your role is a town portal) but don’t forget to bring some. Get some mastellas, a little blue pots, and some holy water. Mastellas should only be consumed when you’re on Evil Druid Armor. You need to bring Unfro and against some opponents (agi type), pest card is also good. There are enemies, such as WS, that can break your armor so you need to bring extras. You can’t use Asumptio inside the castle so buff yourself and your allies with it before entering. Kyrie should be effective here now. You may also use it to cancel your opponent’s Assumtio. When a professor soul burns you, this is the time to use those little blue pots you brought. After using one, cast Magnificat and try to get away from him. He has ‘dispell’ skill so don’t bother buffing in front of him. In some cases, hide is necessary (dodging asura, etc) so i suggest you perma on it and don’t swap. I recommend you use the /q1 command with hide to make it easier to dodge. Holy water is used to cast Aspersio not to allies but to enemy breakers. This gives them the holy attribute thus, making them unable to damage the emperium.

IV.2 PvM

during PvM, all you can do is support your party but if you’re a ME priest, you can help them fight against undead/demon monsters. Turn undead and ME till you kill them all! YEAH! Like I mentioned earlier, ME priests can solo MvPs, depending on the player and his equipments. Basically, these type can be killed in one shot so it’s difficult and takes time to master.

*Basilica

Basilica is another great skill of HPs. It has a fixed range of 5×5 cells around the caster. People inside cannot attack so this is used only as ‘bait’. This doesn’t work against Boss monsters and WoE. Just for PvM and I tried it in PvP room. LOL it worked. This is called ‘Absolute Defense’.

IV.3 PvP

Buff and heal is all you can do here, unless you’re a battle priest. I did not include a guide to battle priest because i haven’t played like that before but i’ll share my opinion regarding that. Battle priests use magnum break (marine sphere card) as their main offensive skill while supporting themselves. When soul linked, they deal 4x damage with Holy light. I tried it many times before and it was awesome. Other classes such as snipers/wizzies can be killed with just one holy light. When Lexed (lex aeterna), you can deal 4000-8000 damage to a single target and more if they’re wearing Evil Druid card. The status build for PvP priest is… dunno? I think 80/80/80 LOL no. For sure they need str, int and dex.  Vit? XD

V. Leveling

This is not a difficult job for this class, until you reach level 80+. When you already have heal, go to payon cave (zombies, skeleton soldiers, etc). Glast Heilm is a paradise for priests. Killing Undead monsters and taking a break when you run out of sp is a nice hobby, since they really have a slow movement speed. With turn Undead, you can go and kill anubis but it is tough and is not advisable because of the minorous, pasanas, mimics, and those anubises themselves. Turn undead depends on INT, LUK and base level. Most of the time, a party hires acolytes/priests and share exp in exchange of heal and buffs. ME types can level alone but that’s too boring :P

V. Skill:

*i generated this skill tree from rms. this is mainly for Support/WoE priests. (generated in RMS)

this is the skill tree for acolyte class (job level 50). If you want to prioritize buffing and add angelus, you may boost it to level 10 and lower the warp portal and pneuma skill.

this is the skill tree for a high priest (job level 70). as you can see, there are still 10 skill points left. you can use it to add on the first skill tree however, this build is a little ‘hybrid’. This is my personal build used in supporting (PvM/MvP), PvP and WoE. You may use those leftovers in decrease agi. Using it during woe makes you hawt =)))

VI. Hints and Tips

*battlemode or /bm

-i highly suggest that you read this tutorial about battlemode.

*the /q1 command

-it enables you to use the skill in the 9th position (f9) on the first skill bar using right click. (mentioned in my previous guide on professors). in this case, put Hide and perma on your hiding rosary.

*if you can get ahold of a ‘Spiritual Ring’, you may try it’s Set of Equipments. They’re mostly useful for ME type priests because of int bonuses. If you’re a Support Priest, stick with your SoR (staff of recovery). It helps a lot in healing. Depends on the refinement, it gives ‘Heal’ bonus.

*resistance cards:

fire = pasana, jakk, leib olmai

water = swordfish/marc, marse, leaf cat

wind = dokebi/steel chonchon, dustiness, giant hornet

earth = sandman, hode, dryad, munak

poison = argiope, myst, ghoul

shadow = bathory, isis, permeter

undead = evil druid, orc zombie, permeter

holy = angeling,

ghost = ghostring, marionette

neutral = raydric/deviling/noxious/harpy/orc baby, parasite,

-these are the cards for resistance. I collected pasana, swordfish, marc, dokebi, bathory, and evil druid cards and made 6 pieces +7 silk robes for them. I used them for PvM and MvP to gain advantage of the enemy.

*personal build w/o MvP cards:

-these are my equipments during woe:

upper head: +7 Feather Beret
mid head: anything cute XD
armor: +7 silk robe (Marc Card) and  +7 silk robe (Evil Druid card)

-base stats: 93/40/99 (vit/int/dex)

base vit is 93, and it has +7 from the equipments (that makes it 100). it gives 100% resistance to most of the Status ailments. low int because i want to have a fast cast with 99 dex. this status build leaves no status points; thus, not even a single one is wasted.

-skill bar

this is the skill bar that i use with bm. arranged from qwe, asd, and zxc.

qwe: lex aeterna, lex divina, aspersio, pneuma, safety wall, basilica, decrease agi, kyrie elison, teleport

asd: resurrection, redemptio, recovery, heal, cure, sanctuary, holy light, ruwach, town portal

zxc: asumptio, increase agi, bless, angelus, magnificat, gloria, imposito manus, suffragium.

the unoccupied slot is used for /q1 command; ‘Hide’.

From charactor creation, your novice should be 9 dex, str, and agi. Spend the few minutes inside the novice area and get to job 10 before u leave. While here, get 10 dex and 20str. After this point, go change to an acolyte. If u take the test and get acolyte u wil be just south of the priest who starts the quest. To get acolyte as your suggested job, awnser the questions as a do-gooder nice guy who thinks of the past and is a public servent. If u get a diffrent suggested job, just tell him u want to be an acolyte, and he will put u where u need to be anyways.

From this point, after you talk to the priest, he will give u 3 possible NPCs to go talk to. The first being 1 map north of morric, in the top left corner of the map.

The 2nd possibility would be 1 map north, 2 maps west of pront(Actualy 2 maps north with the woe castle map above pront) around the center of the map near the pool of water.

The third possibility is 1 map east, 1 map north, then 1 more map east of pront, right at the exit to the next map east(which would be where you will go later to change to monk)

Remember that once you visit this NPC, THAT becomes your new save point, so once u get back to town, set up a new save point or you could find yourself back there when u die or use a b-wing.

Now once you are an acolyte, equip your mace, that they gave you at the nublet zone, and go smack muka (or metalings, although they can kill you with a single hit if they use mammo on you) Spam those novice pots u got at the novice area for your first few kills, since with your very low hp 1 hit will hurt. A few kills later u will be 20ish or so(on a 5x rate anyways) During this time, increase your str and dex stats to 50ish str(around 60 total with gears, job bonus, and bless) and dex to around 30(40 total with gears, job bonuses, and bless. As for skills, you get bless maxed first, then focus on a few points of heal(Level 4-5 will do for now, lv 10 if you have yourself a enchanted peach tree shield sinces its effect can save u a lot of sp with its autocast)

Once you reach level 27 or so, you can use a swordmace(or stunner I belive) and if you do not have a fire swordmace/stunner, the npc version (sold in morric, south west area, slightly north of the corner of town) does the job. Continue with muka until you are able to easily kill them. (2-3 shots each, around 85 hit with bless) If you are using a fire swordmace, you should(with bless) be damaging them for 350-400 dmg per hit.

Once you make easy work of the muka, you can move on to mosc, and can start hunting les(which will also get you rich depending on your server) Muka cast envemom, which really isn’t much of a threat, but the poison effect stops all regeneration, and lowers your def. They also drop green herbs, so hot key one of them, and you should never have to worry about being poisoned. They also drop aloe leaflets which are VERY good healing items, so you shouldn’t have to use yoursp to heal(save it for Bless and Agi up once u have that also)

You can quite easily, and quickly job 50 here. Do not Attack the Lesji(spelling?) at this point, since they have high defense, and hit REALLY hard and are only worth slightly more than the les themselves. They also like to spam heal everything around them, so if need be, lure les away from them before u beat the snot out of them.

While here in mosc, save all your stems, and you can later sell them to a biochemist/brewer for 2.5-5k per, which will more than be enough (after u job 50 yourself) to fund any future gear you may need.

Skills I suggest for this build and order as to get them are as follows.

lv 5 divine protection

Lv 10 bless

Lv 5 heal(lv 10 heal if u have a Enchanted peach tree shield)

lv 10 agi up

lv 10 heal

lv 10 demon bane(At this point the order of which to max first matters little, but u might choose to max this first if u want to go hunting undead before your a monk)

lv 9 divine protection(Divine pro won’t help you much, if at all, since your going to be relying on agility and flee rather than vit and defense. You pick up the last point of this as your first job lv as monk)

Now once your job 50(I strongly suggest you go the long road and do NOT change pre job 50, you will need the extra skills later on) Go and become a monk.

A simple trick (If u never did it as an aco) is to run back to the pront church, and talk to the fat guy near the girl that gives holy light plat skill, tell him to tell you more about being an acolyte, and he will offer to warp you to the monk job change area. Accept his offer for an easy trip.

RMS has a good guide on the main site under quests for the monk job change. Check this if you need help at this point.

Now your a new monk. You would have also gained a 3 slot knuckle duster as reward for being job 50 when u changed, which u can make use of, or continue to use the maces. Maces are nice because they do decent damage to large sized targets, while fists do 50% of normal. The downside is the abysmal atspd of maces.

As a new monk, you can head back to mosc and can stay there for as long as you wish, but I suggest u only stay here as long as u can manage it(At this point you would have been at mosc for some time, and this guide is about having fun, not grinding for hours at the same spot)

A few places I can suggest are Payon caves lv 3-4(munaks, sohees), mosc lv 1(les), ice caves lv 1(Siroma, if u have wind) Bibilan lv 4(swordfish, marc, beware swordfish’s waterball skill), Geffen dungeon lv 2-3(Try to get 180 flee or so first), mummies at pyramids, isis later on.

Skills you get as a monk are simple, since you avoid the combo skills.

With remaining points u can make use of cure and/or agi down. The skills listed before this are ones u would most likley abuse the most, and agi down and cure both have uses. (Although I dont often find myself using either)

Stats are simple too. After your aco days, you have around 50 base str, 30 base dex. As you level you want to try to achive 180 atspd with fists, so u focus on agi for some time(to around 75-80 base) then dex to around 60 base. Final stats depends on gear, but u want(with buffs, gear, and job bonuses) around 100-105 agi, 110 str, 80-90 dex 20 vit(which is 14+6 from job bonus) and 24 int(12+12 job bonus/bless)

Gear is mostly easy to get even as an aco. Try to get yourself the pantie/undershirt set, a pair of shoes (Try to find a zombie slaughterer card, since they can be bought quite cheap with all the nameless abby hunting) a pirate bandana(or slot marionette hat with a vanberk or cramp if u have a tarou card to combo with it) A clip with a marine sphere card can give you as an aco/monk an aoe skill, and can also be used to ‘break’ casts of things in melee range. A ring also helps boost your str.

Once your at or around base 80 or so, you should be able to hunt most area’s with ‘soft’ mobs(lower defense) with your basic attack, or magma, sleepers, etc using occult, or even stings if you can fire off a TSS fast enough (before they reach you) You will find that this build, while it doesn’t excel in any single area, is able to stay longest in the fight because you do not need to rely on your sp so often, yet when needed u can dish out the hurt.

- these type deals high damage using double casted bolts and weakens enemies with his disabling capabilities.

I.1 Bolter Stats

-bolter professors need dex for casting and int for matk so these two are the most important stats. focus on them, you may also want to add some vit or, str for pots and gemstones.

IV. The Guide:

IV. 1 WoE

land protector is a MUST during woe. make sure you did memorize and double casting before going in. recast sight and if you just want to kill, frilldora or hiding accessory can help. demi-human damage reduction cards and items are important here (feather beret, tharafrog card, etc.)

remember this: your Land protector is your party/guild’s key to enter a well defended castle. let the tanks enter first. while the tanks are keeping your enemies busy, cast land pro in the emp room entrance. that would make their defense wizards useless. you can also use wall of fog. it may help. just keep bolting and using stone curse. spider web if necessary. don’t forget to switch armors or accessories. during defense, just cast wall of fog to your party or in the emp (if necessary) and keep your safety wall up. Land pro to the wizards and just keep killing.

IV.2 PvM

nothing special here. with bragi, spam fire bolt/cold bolt to your enemies
if you’re A sp slave, make sure there’s a healer next to you but don’t depend on them
bring your own hp pots :)
stay in a safe place till you’re needed. make sure you have gemstones with you
there’s a gemstone converter in payon (2 blue gemstone = 1 red, 2 red = 1 yellow)
spam safety wall and wall of fog on your party members, Land Pro if your enemy uses AoE skills
make sure you bring ygg leaf ;) you’re appearance in the front line is not necessary.

IV.3 PvP

basically, support professors are not effective killers in pvp and SP slaves CAN’T. this is for bolters.
make sure your safety wall is up, you have pest card equipped, and keep the wall of fog
switch to unfro if you’re up against a wiz. use Land Pro if needed.
use stone curse on enemies but i recommend using spider web first.
kill their SP, dispel, then stone curse then Fire Bolt!! i recommend you recast spider web :P
if you have finished elemental change skill, use it. if you got elemental change (earth) use fire bolt
remember: you can only have one element in this quest skill so be careful in choosing.
in pvp, you don’t need much int. you need to have dex! bring Grape Juice or Blue pots :D
don’t forget to memorize and to recast double casting skill.
for support professors, nothing special. let your party members do the killing. support them just like in PvM.

IV.3.1 Against Lord Knight

vit type lord knights uses spears, have high def and hp, and doesn’t rely on buffs.
they also have long range attack (spear boomerang) and a charge attack. spiral pierce can be used two cells away.
first you need to stop them with spider web or kill their sp, and stone curse then bolt.
agi type lord knights depends on buffs and their berserk skill. before they can attack, use dispel.

this will not just remove their buffs, but also their berserk. after that, you may just stone curse + fire bolt combo.

IV.3.2 Against Paladin

this class has very high def and hp. grand cross type also has high mdef because of their int. first you need to spider web.
they have long ranged attacks using shield so be careful. dispel him first to remove reflect, kill the sp if you can then
cast stone curse/elemental change + bolt combo. if you got hit by sacrifice, you’re in a big trouble. it deals great damage
and also, their pressure can kill your sp. kill them before they kill you.

IV.3.3 Against Champion

this class depend on their sp to deal damage. first, kill their sp. if you use spider web, they can still use finger offensive on you.
you can also use dispel(remove their spirits) or spell breaker to cancel casted asura.

IV.3.4 Against Snipers

agi snipers will use their aspd to cancel your cast so wall of fog is very effective against them. they depend on buffs so while in the fog,
use dispel to remove their buffs, disable them with stone curse (or with your pest card) then a single firebolt may kill them. same goes to strafer build.
FA (falcon assault) type snipers are hard to deal with. with their int, they have decent mdef and hp because of vit. this class doesn’t depend on buffs so
first thing to do is kill it’s sp. they don’t need dex so they’re slow casters. if you catch them casting wind walk, that would be the best opportunity.
without their sp, they can do nothing so kill its sp then use stone curse/elemental change + bolt combo to kill them.

IV.3.5 Whitesmith

these guys are very annoying. with decent aspd and link, they can spam cart termination (damn) that may cause stun. also, their meltdown might destroy your equipments.
if ever you see one, don’t give him any opportunities. cast spider web and dispel him. they rely too much on buffs and has no long range attack except his hammer fall :) if you got him dispelled,
this guy is almost useless. they use sp for buffs and cart termination so you might want to soul burn it. normal attack types can be dealt with safety wall or wall of fog (or your pest card).

IV.3.6 Creator

AD bombers? umm if you’re a bolter and don’t have much vit/def, you have no problem. the filir may be annoying to cancel your cast so safety wall and pest card works here. if filir gets stoned,
kill the master. try to dispel and soul burn them. you won’t have much problems with vanil because of your mdef so fight it bolt vs bolt. if you kill it the owner will be pretty much useless.
those with lif are hard to kill because of emergency avoid. you may want to use spider web to stop them from running. if you have high def, you’re in big trouble. wall of fog may be of use against
acid demonstration. kill the sp then try killing it. some only depend on their humunc and just uses hide skill (wtf). there are so many build for creators and theses guys are very unpredictable.
if possible, try to avoid crossing swords with them.

IV.3.7 Wizard

okay. its magic to magic. they have high mdef and rely on buffs and dex foods for their fast cast so first, you may want to dispel them. magic rod is god against their magic skills but it doesn’t work
on aoe spells so spell breaker should be the best skill to disable them. kill the sp with soul burn, then a single bolt should be enough to kill them.

IV.3.8 Professor

okay. this is a battle of player skill and talent. experience counts in this one. fighting a professor is hard. magic rod is best to counter them. first one to kill the other’s sp wins so you should not forget
to bring sp pots. once you got this guy’s sp, take the opportunity to dispel him with stone curse. basically, a melee type professor is better against a long range professor. while doing melee attack, he might
cancel your cast then use auto cast to bolt at you randomly so when fighting them, use safety wall to prevent being canceled, disable it with stone curse then dang! oh, i forgot. your pest card might do the job XD

IV.3.9 Assassin Cross

these guys are hard to deal with because of their hiding and cloaking skills. they can also dodge slow casting spells. what to do?
versus crit/agi type: they need to get close to you before attacking so basically, cast safety wall, find them with sight or heaven’s drive,
cast spider web then dispel. the guy is done for.
sonic blow: this guys have high vit/hp. strategy is the same for agi/crit type sinX but you need to be extra careful
with these guys because they might kill you with one hit.

IV.3.10 Stalker

stripped suck. without your eqps, you’re doomed so try not to enter without FCP (full chemical protection). others are int types and copies sg (or other aoe spells). they’re like wizards with hide.
bow types are those who strip. use the same strategy versus snipers against them. agi types are damn fast attackers not because of their aspd but because of double attack and sometimes, triple attack.
he’ll try to backstab you then kill you with continuous melee attack so try to keep your safety wall and wall of fog on. with pest card, you should not have a hard time with them.

IV.3.11 Against Ninja

okay. these guys have reverse tatami skill which will make them invulnerable to ranged attacks, and magic! damn. try to disable the guy and be careful with the final strike. with high vit, you can survive and dang! kill the poor guy :D

V. Leveling

this is a tough job for professors. okay. destroy eggs in ant hell until you turn into a mage. when you turn into a mage, kill another egg for job lvl. put firebolt, try to kill an ant or go to payon cave lvl 1.

if you’re lvl 30+, go to rachel field 01. bring fly wings and make sure you dont go near a drosera. this is also applicable to swordsman and merchant class if you have fireblend.

when you’re lvl 70+ already, you may kill stings in glast heim culverts.

you can have someone boost you in anubis and make sure you put all stat points in luk. use ygg leafs in anubis and that’s it.

i’ve got a tip. do you know the quest “Curse of Gaebolg”? i recommend you use this for quests and this for quest table.

back to curse of gaebolg. if you do this quest during lvl 70, you’ll automatically jump to lvl 93 (in arcanaRO, rates:70/70). if you do it later, it will give you little level jump. why? because when you’re low on lvl, little exp is needed to level up. you got the idea? and also, quests with job experience points (such as rachel sanctuary) are recommended to be done if you’re trans already BUT.. don’t do a job change unless you’re job lvl 50. every job level gives you a fixed bonus on stat.

V. Skill:

*i generated this skill tree from rms. this is mainly for PvP/WoE professors.

*this is focused in fire bolt. For me it should have the highest priority during high magician. You’ve got 3 points left to spend with this build.

*double casting and memorize has the highest priority. Next is spider web, soul burn and dispel then heaven’s drive. Since this is a bolter build, Land pro and wall of fog is optional BUT having them is a MUST for professors.

VI. Hints and Tips

*battlemode or /bm

-i highly suggest that you read this tutorial about battlemode before trying to play professor.

*the /q1 command
-it enables you to use the skill in the 9th position (f9) on the first skill bar using right click.

-for example, you have hide skill in this position.
when you press right-click, you will hide automatically, which is good in dodging asura.
i recommend you put “Magic Rod” in that position. it is very effective against Professors.
when they try to bolt at you, press right-click at the time before the casting ends.
the timing is very hard and fatal but once you mastered this, it will be a very good asset. you can just spam your right click but.. i pity your mouse XDD
if you’re having a hard time with magic rod, try using hide instead.

-be careful with set equipments (survivor set, mage coat set, etc..)

-i did not include the sage/professor set cards. (yellow novus, bloody butterfly, harpy, miyabi doll, evil nymph cards)

-100 vit gives 100% immunity to status ailments (except stone and freeze)

-my suggestion.. don’t depend on donate equipments but its good to have one :P

as the title says, there’s nothing special here. this is just a guide to agi professor.

Agi Professor (Melee)

- these professors are cool. instead of dex, you need ASPD to attack because of your autocast spell.
but be warned. these types need to be Soul Linked before they can use lvl10 bolts in autocast skill.
before becoming an agi type prof, make sure you have a soul linker first. instead of dex, put aspd or damage reduction equips. this class is very good in PvP (one on one)

Stats
for me, the minimum aspd should be 178 or 180 (with awakening potion and agi up). i will post my stats and equipments here and explanation later.

this stat is from my professor which is lvl 98, and 64 job. this is with agi up, blessing and awakening potion. again, dex is not important because auto spell doesn’t require you to hit the enemy. even if you miss, you will still autocast. with this stat, i have 10081 hp and 2161 sp (also because of the equipments)

for the weapon, i’m planning of changing it to .. sage’s diary (maybe.. idk >_<). currently it has cecil damon and female thiefbug card which raises my agi and aspd. i also want to change the female thiefbug card to another cecil damon card.

in my armor, it has pest card on it but i’ll change them with a valkyrie armor with evil druid card. i don’t need marduk card because even when silenced, we can still fight with auto spell so i compounded nightmare card on it.

the Thorny shield and horn of buffalo combo allowed me to have 180 aspd without maxing out my agi. without the combo, i would be wasting a lot of status points to max out agi, instead of putting them to vit.

i use firebolt in auto spell that’s why i’m using two imp cards. the brooch, i want to change it but i don’t know why. +1 agi also.. sucks LOL. matyr card raises hp by 10% and a +1 agi so it chose it over verit card.

i’m planning of changing the wool and tidal set to black leather boots[1] and crest of rider[1] set for more agi

Horn of Buffalo is very important. with it, you don’t have to waste stat points on agi and agi equipments instead, use them to have a decent hp and vit.

It Has Taken Me Many Attempts AND A LOT OF TIME Making Gunslingers As Research to Reach Perfectionism. The Build As Much As Possible So Please Respect My work.

An Agility Gunslinger Can be fast,The Damage rate is a High if its well built,Not only that they are quite fun,Just to see your character shoot Like a movie hero or something like that can be quite entertaining.

Agi Gunslinger are Fragile But Strong If Well Built,The defense is low,Hp is low,But the damage per second ratio is Big.These Characters are more suited for Pvm and Fun since their Unique Composition.However If Brave enough an agi gunner can Kill quite alot in pvp. Many that have seen My Main character Have witnessed its quite possible.Woe Is Definitely a challenge since Most of the time death comes quite fast,But in a large group an agi gunner can quite show power.

Agi Gunslinger can be a bit Harder to use since the Lower hp and defense does not allow you to tank big things.

~Basics~

An Agi Gunner Cant count on Its defense or Hp,Alas The Flee is Decent enough to Dodge a few attacks thrown at you.You Cant always count 100 % on your flee so avoiding Direct with the opponent as much as possible is a way.By lvl 75~85 an agi Gunner has enough firepower to be a threat.They May Start out weak But in time they are dangerous too.
Here is a description of stats and such:

Str-Defines the weight Limit.Its good yes but you cant spend too many points on it since carrying pots can be quite useless due to the low vit.In Issues of ammunition with 15 str you can carry quite a few Cartridges without worry.Weight Is an Issue so Light equipment is good.Starting with an panty and undershirt quite helps since its light and gives you a nice amount of flee and agi.Since you have no need to be carrying large amounts of things you have no need to worry on str that much.

Agi-is One of the most Important stats,Defines your flee,atack speed.Having a High Agi amount Is good but 99 is overkill,You’l Need to Spend quite a few points in other stats so an agi of 90~95 Is very good.

Vit-Defines defense,Hp, An agi Gunner Will Never have godly Hp,However you can still manage to have at least a bit by adding a bit of vit to the stats.Since the build is more power speed Oriented you wont have many points to spend in Vit But with 30 ~36 Vit its decent hp. Not godly but at least its something.

Int-Defines Sp,Magic defense, Its Important to Have at least a bit of int since you’l be spamming alot of skills,Many skills will leave you sp dry but By that time in most cases your opponent is dead already.If the Sp will always be low But its good to have some sp,magic defense gears Like some of the morpheous equips.An amount of 20~25 Is Nice.If you spend too many on int then youl end up sacrificing the other stats Making the build less stable.

Dex-Very Important stat,Defines Hit,attack power and Vice versa.A High amount of Dex Is NEEDED For the agi gunner since its what defines the attack.Hit is also Important Since you CANNOT AFFORD to Miss on your opponent or else that would mean certain death.
Dex is needed In a large number but too much of it will alter the build a bit and make it unstable.So a number of 90~95 Dex is Very good.

Luk-Defines the critical Rate and success rate of the flip coin skill and such.Your aspd will be so fast you got no need to add up here.Critical hits block out the double hit skill so it ruins the build of damage per second.so with like 9 or so you should be fine.

Skill Wise Its Recommended to Use all the Fast skills,An Agi Gunslinger cannot afford to Have a delay or cast time.Agi Slinger Motto is “Live Fast,Kill Fast,Die Fast” so this pretty much explains the Idea I am trying to present you here.

Heres a Recommended set of skills and some explanations of why having them:

Flip coin lvl 5 = Consume 1 zeny to flip a coin. If it lands showing heads, the caster will gain 1 coin, but if it shows tails, the caster will lose 1 coin. The caster can have a maximum of 10 coins, and increasing this skill’s level raises the success rate of flipping a coin that will show heads. Gunslinger coins are displayed as glowing orbs around the caster. (Youl Need the Coins to increase your hit even further and some skills require em.)

Triple Action lvl 1(chain action lvl 10,flip coin lvl 5 Required) = Spend 1 coin to shoot an enemy 3 times in one attack. (Its useful when you wanna Kill a weak enemy without spending a large amount of sp,also can be stacked up with rapid shower for some more damage.This skill can also be use with all weapons so if you choose to go Gatling youl have an offensive active skill to defend yourself with,Uses 1 coin so Keep it in mind.)

Madness Canceler lvl 1(Gatling Fever lvl 10 Required) = Consume 4 coins to activate Madness status in which the caster is immobilized, but has +100 Atk and +20% Aspd.Madness Canceler has a 15 second duration, and cannot be used with Adjustment.(This skill is good for Offensive In Large Parties since yiou can be away from the Target and dish out this Huge amount of damage in low time.Even if it doesn’t deal massive damage it slow down the target quite alot if it doesnt have endure.)

Increase accuracy lvl 1 = Consume 4 coins to add +20 Accuracy, +4 DEX, and +4 AGI for a 1 minute duration.(Many People say this skill is Useless. But thats not entirely true,a Gunslinger can certainly Make use of a 4 dex + 4 agi bonus for one minute in Madness canceler or what ever else,But the main Point here is Its One Minute of pure Bliss.)

Single Action lvl 10 = Essential Gunslinger skill that enables Gunslingers to fire their weapons more quickly and accurately.at lvl 10 It Increases a total of +20 hit,Attack Speed + 5.

Snake’s Eyes lvl 10 = Increase attack range and Accuracy,at lvl 10 +10 Hit,Range + 10(This skill is very Important since an agi Gunners needs quite an amount of range to take down his targets.)

Chain Action lvl 10 = Enables the chance of firing two shots in a single attack while fighting enemies when equipped with a Pistol Class Weapon.At lvl 10 Its success rate is Quite high and damage is literally”doubled” since your attacking 2 times at once.This makes Hit locking a breeze for gunslingers making it easy to train.

Rapid Shower lvl 10 (chain action lvl 3 required)= Consume 5 bullets to perform a rapidfire 5 shot attack. Requires a Pistol Class Weapon.At lvl Its 1000 % attack strength. (So if well built the guns with proper gears will be able to deal nearly 900 damage per hit of rapid shower.[Not Counting Defense Reductions and stuff])

Desperado lvl 10(rapid shower lvl 5 required)= Consume 10 bullets to perform a haphazard attack that may damage enemies within a 7 cell radius around the caster. Each cast has a maximum of 10 strikes, and requires a Pistol Class Weapon,At lvl 10 deals 550% attack strength per hit. (The Infamous Desperado,One of My Favorite skills.Its deadly to many classes and One of the Main Weapons of the Gunslinger.Keeping you In Mind that its an Aoa,Sins Cant Cloak to hide from it, Meaning death to many Melee classes.Desperado is a Melee Skill Therefore Phenuma does NOT stop it,All Phenuma does is Give a False Hope to the caster when going against a gunslinger.Desperado is a skill that activates 6 ~ 10 Hits at random around you. Therefore its Possible to change weapon in middle of it to boost up your damage Incredibly.Also, When In Magic Strings Desperado can be the meanest Skill ever seen on the face of earth, You Can spam it hella fast nothing in it can survive the full sp blast.Also can Be useful as a Mobbing skill.)

Gatling Fever lvl 10(Desperado lvl 5,rapid shower lvl 7 Required)= Temporarily increase Attack Speed and damage at the cost of reducing Flee Rate and Movement Speed.
Gatling Fever status is canceled when this skill is double cast. Requires Gatling Gun Class Weapon.(The Gatling gun is a real Bitch when it comes into emperium Breaking.It has a nice attack and if Used wisely it is formidable in pvp too.This skill can Be useful when in the low lvls because gives you a bit more attack and speed but its not advised to solo train using this skill)

~Training~

Since an Agi slinger can reach High attack speed,Its rather easy to lvl at many places but for people whom are new to the Class this is an easy Training plan.(I Trained this way)

Lvl 12 ~ 25 Spores (Payon)
Lvl 26 ~ 44 Wolves(Payon)
Lvl 45 ~ 55 Metalings(Lighthalsen)
Lvl 55 ~ 70 Geographers(Einbroch)<— Its a bit hard but it Can Be done(also try Minos)
Lvl 70 ~ 85 Seals (comodo)
Lvl 85 ~ 99 Hodremlins (Rachel) <– Youl Need Priest,2 santa poring card western outlaw + silver ammo

Khoe Sugests Hill Winds Instead of seals and Geos but I guess thats up to the person.

There are always Other alternatives.

~Equipment~

Stick to Handguns.
Since Most the skills are Handgun Usable you got no need to worry on other skills that need to switch weapons.
In Terms Of equipment the Best Weapon for an agi slinger is the Western outlaw[2].Increases HIT and aspd Depending on the agi of the Wearer.a Nice choice is Double Bloody[2 Hydra cards]
an Nimble glove is needed.Glove[1]+ Zerom Card= Dex +4 and also an apple of archer.(Preferably in a Donation hat)But alot of people like to use the famous Feather Beret.
On Terms of equipment on Defence youl need to decide and use your head since theres many possibilities and choices.

Flee Equipment isnt always good so I recomend Having more than One set of Defense gears.

Maybe a flee set and then a Hp+,Defense set.

Rybio Card is Good But theres many other options.

~Misc~

The Fact that Gunslingers can Use Berzerk Potions Is quite an tip since it can help high lvl guns to achieve a higher attack speed maintaining themselves alive Longer.

Gunslingers Can Wear shields so Keep this in mind if you feel like wearing a Cranial shield.( I Personally do sometimes)It will restrain you from attacking but could save your life in a Difficult situation.

Both Gunslinger Builds are good and the results of having a vit gunslinger and an agi gun slinger in a party is quite extraordinary.

There’s No Chance In Hell a Gunslinger can be compared to a Trans Class so its complete stupidity to try and compare a trans class with an gunslinger,its obviously that gunslingers are still first class characters so the Status Bonuses,Job lvl stat bonuses arent as high as a trans:

Gunslinger : 70 Job lvl
Trans Class: 50 + 70 Job lvl

To Defeat A Trans Class Character Whom is Fully Geared Is The Ultimate Moment in The Career as a Gunslinger.

Don’t Be Discouraged By What People say since its your choice.

GATLING GUNS ARE GOOD If you Have the GUTS to Use one.In Short, the Aspd You can reach with one + the attack added by both skills IS AWESOME For Emp Breaking. I Myself AM known For Breaking an emporium In woe in just 15 seconds and relatively cheaper than a sin x with the usage of edp.

Triple action is DEADLY with a Gatling gun…Try Spamming it with Madness + Fever And a bezerk Pot!
(ive Taken Down Agi Lk Using this Method, I Call It The Death Shower, Its Basicaly Like Unleashing the Full Potential In a Burst Of a Gatling gun,Its easy to restock On Coins once you gots high aspd)

Don’t try to take on a paladin By Yourself.(I Learned the hard way.Lol)

With This Information I have Posted I hope to see many More Strong gunslingers in Ro. I Could have never done this without the help of Khoe and stylish,whom Supported greatly into my research.

*NOTE*
This guide is the result of many-many-many years of playing RO as an hunter and then as sniper (when i went to un-officials), as such, i’ve spent quite some time making it/correcting it and i keep updating it with the new things i find out/or people tells me (you learn something every day, even after years of playing).

*END OF THE NOTE (Time to get started…)*

1. The Class -
Hunter/sniper is a very eintertaining job to play with if you get used to it, it doesn’t have high hp, but long ranged attacks and traps makes it a dangerous enemy in pvp and pvm.
I’d say hunter has the most survivability over most classes pvm.
Also, when you turn sniper you will get the powerful Falcon Assault and True Sight skills, with them you can oneshot most classes (even trans if not well-equipped).

Job Bonus Status Points At JLV 50(Hunter):
STR +4
AGI +6
VIT +2
INT +4
DEX +10
LUK +4

Job Bonus Status Points At JLV 70(Sniper):
STR +4
AGI +11
VIT +3
INT +5
DEX +14
LUK +8

2. The Pros/Cons -
Pros-
They have great survivability if played well, can kill MVPs even at early levels (I was killing Atroce as level 70-80 hunter).
Ankle Snare is your best friend for pvm and pvp (versus melee), it can stop MVPs and mini-bosses (for half time but still works..), after ankle snare comes Shockwave Trap, your best friend for pvp against magic users, 2-3 of those and you can kill any monk/priest/crusader.
LOTS, and i repeat.. LOTS of possible builds and variety, we could say snipers has got a build for every situation…

Cons-
Very poor hp, a level 90 sniper with 1 vit only gets about 5k hp, cannot do much other than trapping the emperium room in woe due to long range redux, it tends to die easily in pvp if you use any build different than FA (with bow you can’t use shields..).

5. Leveling Tips -
First 10 levels as novice aren’t hard, just stick to novice grounds untill you are job lvl 10, use your novice potions and you’ll be just fine.
You can now turn archer, do the quest and get ready to go to payon dungeon!
Inside payon dungeon, kill the skeletons and zombies with silver arrows, when you get level 10 double strafing, you can start off killing Poporings and other stuff.
Focus on maxing dex for now and keep leveling in payon dungeon or you can get fire arrows and try Floras in Prontera Field, untill you are about lvl 40, now get your fire arrows (you can buy them at sunken ship dungeon) and go to either Einbroch or louyang (i prefer Einbroch since less ppl go there and Geograpers can’t move, also, there are no mantis around, but if you get bored you can move from a place to the other one.)
Go 1 map north of einbroch or 1 map south of louyang.
Kill everything in sight untill you are high enough to become hunter, do the quest and go back to geographers! xD
Yeah, this will be boring, but worth it…
(TIP: If in your server there is a warp to ice dungeon, you can go there and kill muscipulars, they’r better than geos since they die faster and give just a little less exp, but bring flywings for gryphons and galliones!)
Once you turn hunter, you stick to geographers/muscipulars a little more, untill you get ankle snare, once you get that skill, you can go everywhere you want without help! :)
You can go nifflheim, Glast Heim prison, Clock Tower, Sphinx level 4, Abbey, Rachel dungeon.. everywhere you like and you get good exp.

*NOTE*
I exped at Geos till level 97 (yeah 97..) and i’ve found out that they are best exp, since you can kill them in almost no time, and they give good exp (about 0.04% per kill).
*NECESSARY NOTE: When i exped to geos till level 97 the geos map was BUGGED, geos kept spawning in the bottom right corner, since the bug is now fixed you might want to go for Anubises.*
*UPDATE*: For higher level monsters you might want to go to Anubises untill they give you decent exp and you have maxed your job level, then you can go to Odin temple and/or Thanatos higher floors (Traps are a must).

Then i went to Thor dungeon with party.
(With a priest and both of you using Pasana + Fire elemental resist potion it shouldn’t be a problem, if you have assumptio the potion is not required.)
*UPDATE*: Best gear for Thor Dungeon- (You can solo in there with this gear at an high enough level).
Ulle’s Cap – Nightmare Card
Panties[1] – Pasana Card
Undershirt[1] – Jakk Card
Burning Bow – No Card
Brooch[1]x2 – Kukre Card
Binoculars/Sunglasses[1] – Nightmare card
Fricco’s Shoes/Boots[1] – Iron Fist Card

Once you reborn, repeat all the process..

MISC. TIPS -
When you get ankle snare, always try to fight slow monsters, so you have time to trap, and if they are fast, make a column/line of traps, so as soon as 1 disappear, they get trapped again, rinse and repeat..
(I kill most quick minibosses this way, just recently killed thanatos minions alone with this trick.)

Arrow Shower trapping -
When you place a trap, if you arrow shower on it, it will move!
This can turn quite usefull in pvp if you learn how to do it well (I AM DA TRAP MASTA!).
*NECESSARY NOTE: In WoE you can not knockback other players nor be knockbacked, this applies to traps too, so you can not move traps in WoE*

EXAMPLE:
You are fighting a priest, he pneuma, what do you do now? “Eww! i’m screwed!”
You simply put a shockwave or a land mine between you and him, arrow shower between you and the trap, and the trap will go toward the priest hitting him!
I killed countless pneuma users this way.

Mine Stacking – “OMG?”
This is an application of the Arrow Shower Trapping trick, it is mostly used with land mines.

*NOTE*
Because of the formulas/Modifiers, Land Mines results in the strongest damaging-traps of your skill set.

Let’s get to the interesting part…
Moving a trap is simple, but, what if you move a trap, place another trap where the other was, and arrow shower it ON TOP of the other one?? “W00tz! They stack!”
Exactly, this way, you can oneshot everything and i mean EVERYTHING! Even Game Masters (If they have legit equips of course..).
After stacking enough mines (Max is about 20-25 be4 they start to turn back to traps), you can move them all at once, that means you can move about 20 traps under some1 and… “BOOM!”

*NOTE: Counting that every Land Mine does roughly 2k dmg (with the right build/equip), 2k*20 = 40k dmg!!!

*SECONDARY STACKING TRICKS*
If you are facing some melee character in pvp (Whitesmiths or berserk lord knights are a good example.), and they have little to none vit but they have high agi (After some testing it looks like agi REDUCES ankle snare trapping time, need confirmation on this one.)
You can do the following trick:
Ankle snare the opponent (let’s make it a whitesmith), the whitesmith won’t be able to hit you if you’r not in range, but he will soon get out of the trap, if he has very little vit, you can do this: Ankle snare -> SANDMAN TRAP him to make him sleep (The chance and duration of sleep is reduced by vit/luk), then pile up in this order: -> 5-6 land mines and 1 Sandman trap.
This way the opponent will get the big damage from land mines (taking our previous example: 2k*5 = 10k dmg) and if he’s still alive he will be put directly back to sleep!!

It greatly depends on your build, so i’ll put everything in the builds section.

7. Builds – *UPDATED*
As i said be4, sniper has a lot of possible builds and applications of each build, but here are the main ones with theyr stats at level 99:

AGI/DEX -
STR 10
AGI 99
VIT 3
INT 20
DEX 99

Comment -
This build can easily reach 190 aspd with the right equip, you choose whether to go for agi or dex equip, but i’d go dex geared over agi for more dmg.

Gear -
Head – Apple of Archer (^.^) or if you want agi, ulle’s hat with nightmare card in it/Sunglasses with nightmare card for agi, sunglasses with elder willow for dex (the card gives int).
Body – Panties for agi, tight/odin’s blessing with marc/pasana/swordfish/peco card
Weapon -
Rudra Bow if you have the will/money to get it, Else a gakkung bow with anything in it is just fine. Composite bow[4] with 2 hydra and 2 skeleton worker cards for pvp (NOT 3 hydra/1 skel worker).
Garment -
Undershirt for agi, Falcon muffler/slotted garment or anything for dex.
Shoes -
Fricco Shoes (aka Freya’s Shoes) for agi, anything for dex.
Accessories – Brooches with kukre cards for agi or Vesper Cores, gloves with zerom cards for dex.

Falconer Build -
STR 1
AGI 60
VIT 1
INT 74
DEX 70
LUK 70

Comment -
Quite powerful indeed, do not understimate it’s power, it has low aspd but falcon does huge damage and attacks quite often.
It’s downside is, due to low vit/agi, it doesn’t dodge at all and have very poor hp (at lvl 99 6100 hp), so you most likely will use traps a lot, or have a priest to support you, still, this kind of sniper can be deadly vs mobs, another downside is it won’t damage ghost at all…

Gear -
Head – Apple of Archer or ulle’s hat with Elder willow card/Binoculars/Sunglasses with elder willow.
Body – Tight/odin’s blessing with rocker/marc/pasana/peco card
Weapon – Rudra Bow if you have the will/money to get it, Else a gakkung bow with anything in it is just fine, you won’t use bow much anyways.
Garment – Anything is good. (Something for hp boost is good)
Shoes – Just anything. (Something for hp boost is good)
Accessories – Gloves with zerom cards or Earrings.

Hybrid -
STR 1
AGI 72
VIT 50
INT 45
DEX 97
LUK 1

Comment -
This is the classic “DS Spammer”, this build takes full advantage of double strafe, it has good hp and good aspd, but doesn’t exceed in neither of the 2.
Can deal a lot of damage in a short span of time. Good for MVPing and pvp.

Gear -
Same gear as AGI/DEX build focused on dex.

Falcon Assault – (aka FA Build)
STR 1
AGI 1
VIT 80+
INT 50-60+
DEX 90+
LUK 1

Comment -
This is the build most used in pvp, It focuses on using the FA skill to one-twoshot the enemy, it is the strongest skill you will get as sniper, the build has very good hp and damage output, but lacks in flee/aspd and tactics.
Due to low aspd, the only thing you will be doing with this build is FA, and that is all. (aka “noob FA spammers” how many times have you heard these words?)

Gear -
Head – Beret/Feather Beret/Binoculars/slotted sunglasses wih some good card (kiel? xD)
Body – Goibne’s Armor/Sniping Suit/Peco odin’s blessing, marc/ed/pasana/swordfish.
Weapon – Main Gauche[4] with 4 fabre cards/bazerald and guard[1/valky shield] with Thara Frog/Horn Card.
Garment – Muffler with raydric/noxious card/deviling(if u have that much luck..)/survivor’s manteau(or if you want the best a wool scarf with the above cards).
Shoes – Vidars/matyr/green ferus boots/ or for the top: Tidal shoes with General Egnigem Cenia Card (MVP)
Accessories – Expert Rings/2 gloves or 2 rosary with alligator cards/zerom cards.

SharpShooting Sniper – (aka SS)
STR 1
AGI 41
VIT 60
INT 24
DEX 91
LUK 67

Comment -
A very interesting build not many snipers use, it is good for mobbing, that mean you’ll have a priest gather 20-30 mobs in nifflheim and kill them all in few shots, the problem is it uses bow, so it’s not very effective in pvp (no shield..).
Anyways, you shouldn’t understimate this build, it ignores def since it uses crits, is almost spammable and has aoe. (usually hits for 3-4k dmg in pvp, i once killed 4 ppl at once with it…).

Gear -
Head – Apple of Archer/Beret/Binoculars
Body – Goibne’s Armor/Peco armor, marc/ed/pasana.
Weapon – Gakkung or pvp bow with multiple race/element cards (example: +dmg on medium/big monsters and + dmg to fire and demi-human monsters). (Composite bow[4])
Garment – Muffler[1] with raydric/noxious card.
Shoes – Vidars/boots[1] with matyr/green ferus.
Accessories – Gloves with Zerom cards.

Ramzah’s Build -

STR 1
AGI 99
VIT 15
INT 20-25
DEX ranging from 60 to 80 (Depends on the current level, goal is to have at least 250-270 hit)
LUK 40-50

Comment -
Just a variant of the hybrid build, this is the build i like the most, with this build you should teorically have 190 aspd and use your falcon enough often to deal some good damage with it (even tho not as much as a pure falconer). With this one build you can FA (You should have enogh dex to do so.), you can DS quickly (tho damage won’t be as high as a pure agi dex), you have some “decent” hp, your falcon should attack pretty often.
The only thing to note with this build is, it’s nothing special when you are alone, but if you have a priest buffing you… (Agi, bless, gloria, that’s all you need) You’ll be a real beast!

Gear -
Head – Ulle’s Hat with nightmare card, If your server has the quest: Slotted sunglasses with nightmare card.
Body – Panties (lol?)
Weapon -Any bow will do, but considering your lack of dex, go for higher dmg bows (gakkung, hunter bow, rudra.), you won’t really need cards, unless you have a shecil or doppel card, if that’s the case, try to enchant slot a hunter bow.
Garment – Undershirt, if you can slot it, put a bapho jr card in it.
Shoes – Fricco Shoes
Accessories – Brooches[1] with kukre cards in them.

As you may have noticed, the biggest problem will be the ulle and the equipment slotting and you might still not like this hybrid build since it requires buffing to get to unleash it’s maximum power.

8. Questions & Answers -

Q. The Guide is well written, but why the hell do you need agi as a Sharp Shooter?
A. Mainly for survival, you might want at least some basic flee to avoid being hit-locked by aggressive monsters.

Q. Also, you don’t crit with SS. Ever seen a skill in RO critting the enemy?
A. Sharp Shooting is one of the few skills that does crit on enemies, i’ve tested it, believe me it does, just like Shadow Strike for Ninjas. (http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=skill_db&sk_name=shadow+slash& sk_search=Search)

Q. Isn’t Triple Bloody Boned (3x Hydra, Skel Worker) better than Double Bloody Double Boned?
A. No it isn’t due to the formula used to calculate damage with cards. (Reference: http://forums.roempire.com/showthread.php?t=68867)
Let me clarify this: Triple Bloody Boned Composite Bow gives 184% atk bonus and +5 atk, while Double Bloody Double Boned gives 182% bonus atk and +10 atk.
Knowing this we can assume the damage doesn’t really change much BUT, having lower dex means having less atk, thus that +10 atk from the second bow can be better than the first one and viceversa.
It depends on the build you refer to.
Ramzah’s build doesn’t have really much dex compared to an AGI/DEX build, so it’s better to get a double bloody/double boned compo bow.

Q. Since int works by multiples of 6 for sp regen, u could lower it to 18 which would let u put vit up to 6.
A. That’s just the base stats without the modifier, fact is that at max jlvl an hunter gets +4 int bonus, thus getting a total 24 int. :)

Q. Do u have stats for a sniper who just use trap as the main attack?
A. Just go max INT/DEX and add the leftovers to vit. That’s all you need.

Q. Very great guide, I didnt notice that land mines deal damage very high lol and how about the claymore trap isnt it useful too ?

Claymore Trap: [DEX/2+75] * [1+INT/100] * SkillLV damage
Land Mine: [DEX + 75] * [1 + INT/100] * SkillLV damage <– Definitely Better

Q. Is it true u can kill GMS with the stacking?
A. If they don’t use hax equip, yes. :)

Q. I would like a detailed explanation of how you managed to solo Atroce at such a low level because I would love to attempt it.
A. I wouldn’t reccomend it… It is true you can do it but it’s REALLY BORING anyways here’s how it’s done in short:
1- Find Atroce.
2- Start spamming DS from as far as possible.
3- If Atroce teleports go back to 1- else use a fly wing as soon as it gets close to you (keep in mind it might be closer than you think when spamming DS).
4- Go back to where you found Atroce and go back to 2-
5- Rinse and repeat till it’s dead, a priest with lex eatherna halves the required time.
