How To Add a Guild Emblem

Only Guild Leaders can choose and implement Guild Emblems. To put implement a Guild Emblem use the following procedure:

1. Make sure that the image file intended to be used as the Guild Emblem is 24×24 pixel Bitmap (.bmp) format file in at 256 colors (8bit).

NOTE: The transparency color for guild emblems has the RGB values (255, 0, 255), or you may use the hex value #FF00FF.

2. Create a directory named “emblem” in the RagnarokOnline file directory. By default, the RO file directory is C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO.

3. Copy or Move the Guild Emblem bitmap file to the emblem directory you have just created.

4. Log into the Ragnarok Online game and open the Guild menu (Alt+G) and click on the `EDIT` button. If you have done all the steps correctly, the name of your Guild Emblem file should be available in the Drop-Down Menu, select it and it will be set as your Guild’s emblem.

    Is there a guild skill requirement? I got it to the drop down in the menu but it won’t add.

    To Create an Emblem (For Tisya):

    1. Find an image you’d like to use.
    2. Save the image on your computer (Desktop, My Pictures, etc)
    3. For PC, Right click on the file, and go to EDIT.
    4. Paint will pop up. Go to IMAGE tab in the menu, and click on STRETCH.
    5. Stretch or Shrink the image until you reach the desired 24×24 pixels. If the pixels are too big, you shrink by putting in less than 100% for stretching. You can check the pixels by going to IMAGE tab again and clicking on ATTRIBUTES.
    6. Re-save the file as a 256-bit (bmp) file.
    7. Do the rest as this guide tells you to.

    3. local disk (C)
    4. Program files
    5. Find your RO Directory
    6. make a emblem folder in the RO directory
    7. put the picture size 24 x 24 inside the emblem folder

    A I see, you just define custom colors in rgb as 255 0 255. For anyone who want to make an emblem use ms paint shrink it to 24×24 pixels then edit it

    Just to help some of the users on this site reading this:

    If you play on a private server of ragnarok, the emblem folder you need to place your pic in is most likely in THAT directory. For example, my kRO/Sakray stuff is in Program files/Gravity/RO. But for the server i play in it made its own directory outside of program files, sometimes if you just blow through the setup youll miss where it tells you the directory is. Be careful of that…

    If your guild name has no space just do /guild guildnamehere

    If your guild name has space do /guild “guild name here”

    Program Files/Gravity/RO/Emblem
    24×24..bitmap..
    and still doesn’t appear at ‘edit’ in ctrl + g

    Before saving as a .BMP go to —> image —> mode —> Indexed Color….

    Accept merging layers (I like working in layers – especially when it\\\’s necessary with the transparent background)

    I selected the following settings:

    Palette = Exact
    Forced colors = None

    checkmark for transparency

    Matte= None

    OK.

    Then it’s ready for saving :) The emblem had no problems with showing up as it should :)

    BigblackLab, you might be at the wrong path, the RO folder should be there with all your other game client files. If you have the game shortcut on your desktop, try right click on it -> properties -> open file location. It should open up your RO folder directory.
